I am trying to scan some pictures but am in trouble. I am using Picasa 3 and I got to import photos and I seem to be able to import ok but slowly but when I x out I cant find them. I am wondering if my scanner is the problem.. I used to scan before and it would come up automatically but now my scanner says "connecting to pc" but then it dosent.. what am I doing wrong?

Don't know if it helps but I got a new Canon printer/scanner a while back and am using Presto Page Manager to scan with it. I had similar issues - once I had left the program, I couldn't find where the pictures had saved to. Spent hours going through every picture folder I had before giving up in disgust. Almost a week later I was looking for something in My Documents and found all the scans there. They automatically saved to my documents instead of my pictures as scans are not necessarily saved as jpegs. Then I found a drop down menu in Page manager to save as a jpeg and could select folders etc to save them to. Like I said, don't know if it helps??

If you try searching for recent files maybe?
