I can't eat a "nornal" breakfeast like weetabix and milk as I find milk disgusting.

Instead I have taken to eating a Goodfellas pizza each morning for breakfeast.

Is this unhealthy or am I grand?

Have you tried subsituting Milk with an alternative?
    • Soya Milk
    • Rice Milk
    • Coconut Milk (My favourite)
Or having maybe porridge, oats or homemade Museli with water. Or scrambled/poached eggs or and omlette with some veg (spinach, mushrooms, onion, peppers, grilled tomatoes etc)

Speaking soley for myself, I would not consider pizza a healthy breakfast alternative, not matter what the topping(s). But I am on a low starch based carbs buzz :) so the pizza base rules it out for me.

Cheers man but I've been browsing on other websites and I think I'm best suited to a fruit breakfeast.

    Just can't stand milk.

    Wait.

    You were serious?

Another option would be to throw together you own "pizza".

2 slices of good spelt/wholemeal bread, toasted.

Then slice up a tomato thinly and spread it over the bread. Then add some baby spinach leaves, finely sliced onion, finely sliced pepper, some thin slices of chicken breast or smoked salmon or choped up hard boiled egg etc and top off with some grated mozzeralla chese and drizzle over soem EV Olive oil.

Return to the grill to warm and melt the cheese and enjoy :)

Who said healthy snacks are boring :) (provided you're not off starchy carbs) :D

***Edit: There is a recipie floating around the forum for oat pancakes which would work just as well in place of the bread ;)

    Yes.

For the last three mornings I have had a goodfellas pizza for breakfeast. A full thin base, pepperoni one.

I take it it's not a healthy thing?

you will put on weight very quick eating one of them a day, plus im sure a processed pizza a day has other health issues, but i'm a smoker so I wont by hypocritical :P

why not try an egg on brown bread? veg omlette?

feck even a pop tart would probably be better then a full pizza!

I can't stand milk either, but soya milk and rice milk taste nothing like it. You should give them a go. Also, you could try having porridge mixed with water instead of milk.

    Not particularly.

Why do you feel you have to have milk with breakfast?
    Do you like eggs?

Just what I was raised with from an early age. Milk and some choclatey cereal.

I'll give the eggs a bash, cheers.

Like there really isn't anything worse about eating pizza for breakfast than there is eating pizza any other part of the day.

I mean I feel better for the morning if I keep carbohydrates low at breakfast but not everybody else feels that way.

Ya know, it's not the worst thing in the world, but you may get sick of it soon.
If you're gonna have pizza for breakfast, I'd say aim for a fresh one if possibble, and always try to get some good toppings like chicken and fresh veg.
But ultimately, If you're gonna eat a pizza, you'd probably be better to eat it at 9 in the morning than 9 at night, cos you can work it off during the day...

Actually, if most people switched what they had for breakfast and dinner, they'd probably be a lot healthier...

How about a fruit smoothie or better yet a green smoothie? They take little time to make and are very good for you.
I make them daily by putting loads of spinach (or kale, romain etc), a handful of parsley, any ripe (or frozen) fruit available like kiwi, apples, bananas, berries - add water and blend. I also include supplements like flaxseeds and pumpkin seeds and blend it all into oblivion.
I normally make about 2 litres every morning, drink 1 for breakfast and put one in a flask for later. They might not sound too appetising but they are surprisingly good tasting and very filling.
    Best wishes

    Why?
If your reason is that you use those calories for energy during the day if you eat it early, and it jsut becoems fat if you eat it late. then you are wrong. Total intake is the same, total expenditure is the same.

But if you have another reason, let me have it

I don't like milk either, but cereal with yoghurt is lovely, and there are loads of different flavours available if you don't like the taste of natural youghurt. It's quick and easy to make if you're rushing in the morning, too.

Personally I use buttermilk on my cereal, but I understand that that's not to many people's tastes ;)
