Remember the days when you could get £5 from the atm? And it'd last more than 5 mins? :pac:

And it was usally at 3am in the morning, either for a taxi home, a curry chip, or both.

Used to take out a fiver, buy cigarettes then re-lodge £4 in the envelopes provided at the ATM

BOI ATM in Maynooth provided tenners last time I was that skint. Student town...

Also must have been the only ATM to ever provide fivers in the euro era!

Remember when your balance was £5.41 and the atm only had tenners. You'd have to walk around looking for one with fivers.

I remember the night I went out with a fiver in my pocket and the bastids had put guinness up by two pence, so I couldnt get 5 pints that night, only 4 and a half

One trick I used to do was get €50 note (if I had it!) from the ATM, buy something small in Tesco, what change I got (from the self service till) was mainly in fivers! The Luas ticket machines used to be good for giving you loads of €2 coins in change, but they seem to have stopped accepting €50 notes in the last few years. Ah well.

you can still get a fiver when you go abroad. And in some countries the atm will ask you in what notes you want your money in so if you ask for €50 you could ask for a twenty, two tens and two fives. But not in this helpful country.
