    ok irish coins:
-the usual leftover coins that everyone has from where the punt went out of fashion in favour of the euro, loads of 1, 2, 10 and 20P's
    -1977 50p
    -the 1988 50p, dublin's 1000th anniversary coin
-99 and milennium pound coin (remember the milennium coin being different on the top with a viking-style boat?)
    -1951 coróin
    -1962 shilling
    -1971 halfpence

thats about it from the irish coins, never got too many of them sadly :(

I seem to have amassed a lot of english coins though strangely

Doesn't look like you have anything there of value in your Irish coins.

Not an expert myself, but dabble in coinage. I can tell you (and correct me anyone if any of this is way off) coins on their own (a 1972 halfpenny here and a 1969 shilling there) aren't really worth big money unless they're

    (a) in a set e.g. say you had all coins from 1971 1/2p, 1p, 2p, 5p etc and even then they're only 40 years old and worth about €10 dependant on condition
    (b) coins prior to 1900, 1800, 1700 etc increase in value obviously the older they get.

The Millenium Pound Coin and The 50p Dublin 1988 are worth about €1 to €3 each dependant on condition (Note there were approximately 14 million of each minted so not exactly a rarity). They're were limited boxed silver editions for the Millenium Coin as far as I remember, they be worth €30 - €40.

Hold on to them for the mo though, values always increase with time. If they are in good condition don't mix them all in a jar try to keep seperate as it is the uncirculated looking one that have value they rest are face value as previously posted.
