Hover just above ground level, hold the left click, move the mouse forward and reverse back. Google earth then moves away by itself.

I am doing this ATM, was looking at Eminems mansion (I know, LOL) and did this. Have seen some houses in rural America and though "These are real people, and real areas". Now TV crap or anything where everything is distorted. It goes to show you about life.
