Loved the opening minute with Rachel standing in NY, looked superb. But the actual ep. was average, lots of movie cliches. The competition consisted of what three songs?.....shortest competition ever!, i think they wasted way too much time showing NY and the Finchel stuff, you'd think the competition would have been a bigger deal.

I guess all the product placement and sponsorship deals took priority as opposed to actually having a point to going to NY. I liked Brittany's my cup song!, none of the other tunes impressed much.

When Finn said "take a chance on me" i was expecting the Glee kids to burst into the Abba song!, Quinn's new short bob hair looks nice, it suits her. Sam + Mercedes?....um, where did that come out of?????

Ryan Murphy et al tryna whip up shippers and generate buzz me thinks, he always panders to the fans now, show has gone to hell....been ruined by hype, money, agendas, egos, money, sponsorship, over promotion, Ryan Murphy, pandering, shippers, sending "messages", gay plotlines, telling lies.....yes WHAT exactly happened to Anna Hathaway or Justin Timberlake?, guest stars, pop culture, did i mention money?

    Roll on Smash!

    Same Abba thought!
He asked her to dance at the prom, I kinda guessed they'd keep it going. Especially since Mercedes hasn't really had a love storyline yet. Really don't know how it'll go anywhere though, they look really odd together!

It was a pretty meh episode. One of the things that really bothers me about Glee is that they're in this huge national competition but they never rehearse! (I know it'd get boring if they kept singing the same song but still!) They were writing their songs the night before and obviously choreographed the songs as well....it's just silly and unrealistic! :p

I liked the second of the original songs and 'For Good' but that was kind of it. Matthew Morrison singing his song was so pointless and added noting. His whole Broadway storyline was so pointless!

It could have been a much better episode and I really would have loved to see some other show choirs (they could have at least given the name of the one they did show!)

Crap. I really did not enjoy it.
Their New York song was god awful, even the cup song was much better lol.

I thought Mr Schuester's song was ok. But I agree totally pointless.

Rachel and Kurt outside Tiffany's was good and their performance was good but a bit boring. Interesting with their talk about going to college; at the time they said that I kept thinking maybe they'll follow a few core characters after high school (assuming the show stays profitable as I'm sure it will) a la Saved By The Bell: The College Years haha :D

Dianna Agron busting out the acting and Santana actually being nice for a change. I must say I was waiting on this haircut sexiness.

Best comments were "they look like they haven't been baked properly" and "I bet they think I just broke up with you".

I lol'd the whole way through the Usher song with the girls in the white dresses - that was god awful.
Vocal Adrenaline: what else can you say, that girl has some serious pipes.
New Directions: the song was actually pretty good and I actually liked the kiss at the end of the first song. idk why everyone was so shocked though
Second song was also pretty good, at this point the rest of the group are much better than Finn/Rachel. Damn Quinn is much hotter with short hair too.

Knew they wouldn't be on there :) Getting a bit formulaic now at this point Glee... each season going to end the exact same way?

I thought it was an awful lacklustre finale imo

I love this song!!!!! For Good from Wicked!

Kurt singing the part Kristen Chenowith (April Rhodes) sang in Wicked, and Rachel singing her "biological" mothers role (Idina Menzel) - and they did the same for Defying Gravity iirc!

The lyrics of the song apply to the storyline throughout the show - because I knew you, I have been changed for good.

Oh God my eyes... my ears...

Those 'girls' in the white dresses... the dancing... the 'original' songs...the awful acting... the lack of any semblance of a storyline! The only decent song in the whole thing was the cup one :pac:

This dreck makes me sad. I don't think I'll be back for season 3.

Serious voice on Charice! Fantastic singer to be fair - and where she has come from in her personal life to be singing on an international programme

Brittany is seriously losing that dumb blonde tag imo.

Not the greatest of episodes - I'll look forward to season 3, but I hope there are some changes. Too many episodes that are thrown in without any resemblance to a storyline.

Those girls in the white dresses.......ew!, who dressed them?....they looked a bit chunky in them!

Brittany is hilarious, loved the cup song but I really laughed out loud when she said she's be bridesmaid at Mike and Tina's wedding and she'd be anxiously waiting with everyone else to see if their baby comes out Asian too :pac: :pac: :pac:

Seems I'm the only person that really liked this episode... Tbh I did kinda see the Sam and Mercedes thing happening after Prom. :)

I thought it was a great episode as well. It is up there in my top 3 of the season. (Funeral and Prom are the others) They certainly packed the songs in. Loved Kurt and Rachel on the Wicked stage. Its one of my favourite musicals.

That Charice is one amazing singer. Bloody hell I had goosebumps listening to her sing As Long As You're There.

Interesting as I think the consensus on Funeral and Prom were that they were pretty bad too. It's definitely shippers vs non-shippers it would seem :D

Well to be honest the whole shippers thing doesnt interest me in the slightest. I just thought the music in those 3 episodes were brilliant.

I thought it was meh apart from For Good. I saw Wicked in the Gershwin and it was a great version of one of my favourite musical songs. Oh and Dustin Gouldsby rocks!

My cup.....is it me or do the lyrics have a double meaning?

I thought it was crap. The original songs thing worked once but it didn't work this time. There were some good lines but no real sense of story (Will's solo, the scene with Blaine tacked on the end, Quin's dastardly plan). Also not at all realistic that you would take 13 teenagers on a trip to another city with only one adult supervising. It was the worst finale I've watched this year. Actually, Bones was the worst, Glee takes second worst. I will watch next year but won't be waiting with baited breath.
