    Hi,

I bought mentioned above bike (new to cycling) and I've been out the last few days getting used to it. It came with these pedals that have straps on them, I find when i stop at lights, they always end up wrong side up and they are a nightmare to flip round which is a nightmare as i start off slow each time wobbling trying to get into them.
Can anyone recommend pedals with good grip that I could look at? i'm after wrecking these ones because i ended up just pushing down on the strap part without my foot being in the strap. also im not ready for wearing cleats and special shoes so any pedal that i can use with a normal runner would be great

    cheers

I trick I found for the strap pedals is to always keep one clipped in, then push off on the underside of the pedal until you've got a bit of speed to flip it over.

Can't you just take the straps off?

yeah but there doesnt seem to be much of a pedal to grip without the straps. I have removed the straps for now just as a temporary measure
