Time for a new design of American Presidents Limo?

    It looks likely though....

The traditional RWD Full size car is nearing the end of the road.......

The panther platform which covers the Ford Crown Victoria and Lincoln Towncar is being phased out in August and may well be replaced by a Cross-over or SUV.

The GM Cadillac STS (seville) has stopped production..and the DTS (Deville) which the Obamamobile/Bushmobile are based on ...but on Truck chassis as opposed to car chassis....is also being replaced this year by an XTS...

So maybe there will be a completely new concept of the Presidential limousine.

Why does no president consider this?

Why does no president consider this?

Because it's absolutely massive and not exactly presidential looking?!

    Edit: Oh and it's Canadian.

    Looks a bit military despot.

Armoured SUV (Escalade?) was good enough for him around Moneygall, surely a super-armoured one of those would be more practical than a limo? Seems the whole limo format is only for appearances sake.

There'll be a lot of ass kicking going on over that incident today. It will never happen again, of that we can be sure. If they have to re engineer all ramps they may happen to drive over in advance of a visit it will be done.

It was hilarious to see it though.

I'm pretty sure that the car that got stuck is from 2004.

    Never!!!

High end executive saloons will always be RWD.

Not that any full size cars from the US are high end or executive though :p

A bit less lead in the door panels and she would have been fine!

Referencing the Knight XV from the start of the thread I remembered seeing a photo of it lined up with a Hummer which really illustrated just how insanely large it is:

Seemed to me like the beast had some sort of suspension failure. Had to be towed away afterwards, I would imagine that any car with that level of armour would be well able to cope with a belly rub and keep going without the need to be towed.
