I have one off a Pdi Raven Cylinder set on my G-Spec. Looks similiar from recollection. Fitted it sound. You'll probably have to wrap ptfe tape around it has its shorter than the standard head and there can be air loss from the hole where you drill out the pin.

Ok cheers, think i might get one then. Just hope it doesnt wobble when its screwed in as the threads are supposedly different, not too worried about the air loss issue.

Can I ask how you got the cylinder head off ?
It has that nasty "security" pin which if isnt taken off very very carefully will stop any cylinder head going back on with a decent seal.

Your suppose to use a drill with the same size drill bit as the pin but i used a dremel with a 2mm diameter or so ball head. Took a bit of time as i didnt want to drill it any wider than the pin. Worked out in the end!

They can be a real b1tch. I replaced my cylinder and head at the same time , cause one of the hong kong dealers was doing a deal on them. Cant remember where , but i'd recommend it if you can afford it to get a teflon cylinder.
PDI are the make I went with in the end.Well worth it and you do notice the "draw" on the bolt is a good bit smoother.

Yeah i might get one of them teflon cylinders one day! Not using a 150+ spring so dont really need them tbh. Its just a pain knowing what different parts go with what other ones. Trying to stay with Laylax parts but sometimes there out of stock and you have to go with others. :)

You'll notice the difference even on a 1 joule spring.
I agree though , Its very difficult to find all the parts in stock in the same place.
Strangely it makes the BAR10 the better quality rifle. In that theres no nonsense with pins , and the sears have a higher tolerance than the stock tokyo marui ones.
That and the fact that the BAR10 is usually €100 cheaper than the VSR.

Be careful with regards to getting Laylax parts. I got a PSS10 Cylinder Head and it wouldn't fit onto the standard cylinder. Threads were different. Ended up bending and breaking the cylinder. On a lesser note, also had to sand down the outer edge of a Laylax Piston for it to fit the standard cylinder.

Thanks for the heads up! Suppose its trial and error really, just gonna get them and see if im lucky! :)

My advice with cylinders, is if you replace one part, replace them all with the same brand. They fit together perfectly making the best air seals, and they are designed to work together.

A full laylax cylinder set is what i have in my 96 its the business.

Laylax, pdi and tm parts are all slightly different. Im with the whole bar10 is better... because at the end of the day, when you replace parts, its going to be a cheaper end result.
