need to stick up a few of the ol danbos up on a wall soon, anyone any views on exhibitions ideas, I'm think acrylic, maybe with block mounted mdf also, or all acrylic, but open to ideas and layout, havent decided on number of images, what images, anything really, brains fairly fried so some outside views would be lovely

danbo eh? how bout something completely different - prints mounted in cardboard / cardboard frame? yeah, cardboard - given the subject matter

ok, maybe you were hoping for some better ideas but sure it kicked the ball rolling ;)

matt prints (or as mat as you can afford...fiber matt *drool*) on board, no borders, thin board... just my opinion

surely if you spray paint the mdf before you put the prints on it, you'll get a smoother even finish then using paint?

hummm dibond and danbo, wouldnt be mad on it, its beautiful, but i think it needs some chunkiness

Yeah i know; really does depend on the print. I saw a fantastic one yesterday, window mounted with antique white in an elaborate antique wood frame. Usually i'd run a mile, but it was perfect for the shot..

Sounds like MDF might be your best bet if you're looking for chunky? How big are the prints? I'd be having a wander in some of the degree shows to get some ideas if i were you.

3rd of june hang so dont really have the time... I just think i have an aversion to mdf, it reminds me of family photos on 6x4 in my grandmothers living room mantlepeice.

So you would be a bit adverse to the acrylics then? Chatted to steve bout maybe making a mock danbo, but might get a wee bit cheesey. Serious mare trying to pull this together :(
