Guy in internet café was complaining that Pirate of the Carribbean was really short at about 1h10.

The first scene he saw was the sailors in the boat looking for the Mermaids. Oddly enough this is about half way through the film. They forgot to show the first half  :D

Then again, I saw it in the same place on Friday and they showed the trailer for hte film beofr ehte film and then showed the IFCO cert for Thor.

What place was is? And it says a lot for the film when you can watch half of it and not realise you're missing anything.

When The Empire Strikes Back was released they did a double bill of Star Wars and Empire...... However when I went to see it they showed Empire first THEN Star Wars. Hence lots of: Who'se he? Who'se the ghost guy? Wow, that laser sword thing is cool. Followed by: Whoa, where's Luke's laser sword? It's called a Light Saber? Why is Obi Wan alive? Where's Han? Where's Leia?

There is an urban myth about David Lynch's "Eraserhead" that when it was shown in the IFI (or IFC as it was known at the time) in the 90's, one screening had the reels mixed up and the film played in the wrong order. The story goes that no one copped it or complained at the time.
