hey i finished my course there couple wks ago and iv been applying for work since feb but no luck :( so i went on the dole (they are actually just processing my claim) but im sick of sitting around doing nothing already so i'm applying for a masters. wat if i get accepted, will the dole think i was trying 2 scam them? will i get in trouble? i just cant sit around and do nothing for the foreseeable future. in case i dont get the masters im kinda scared of telling the dole im gonna apply in case they cut me off and i need the money. any advice/ help

Sure you are entitled to apply for a course. And you are entitled to apply for the dole in the interim. It might be worth your while having a look on www.bluebrick.ie which is the portal detailing all new courses being funded on the springboard initiative (levels 6 - 9) so you may see a course on there that you might not have to pay funds on and still be allowed to retain your benefits. They are part time courses.
