    Disgraceful club.

Always coming but a poor decision nonetheless. You need continuity at a club like Chelsea IMO.

Villas-Boas to be their next manager?

Taken from the daily mail today.

"Carlo Ancelotti insists he is prepared to drop out of the top flight and take charge at managerless West Ham when he is jettisoned by Chelsea.

The Italian boss is expected to be sacked soon after Sunday's final game of the season at Everton and claims he would have no problem picking up the pieces from Avram Grant's reign and taking a pay-cut.

Ancelotti said: 'I would coach West Ham - why not? It's a challenge to manage a team in the Championship.

'The atmosphere at West Ham is amazing. It doesn't matter if you manage a top team or a smaller team.

'It's more important to work. I was happy to train in the second division when I was learning.'
Ancelotti earns £5million a year at Chelsea and would get a fraction of that at Upton Park, but he said: 'When you manage, you don't think about the money. It has never been a motivation for me.'"

    Madness!

Roman might as well put a laboratory clone of himself in the dugout.

Fook me, thats shocking itll prob be another avram grant type, someone abromovich can hold on a leash and tell what to do. Ancelotti has been great for the premier league hell be sorely missed. Id hate to be a chelsea fan and have that gob****e running the club i love.

    Sacked.

You hardly thought he was going to waive away all that compensation did you?;)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,743 ✭✭✭Revolution9

Finishing second in the most competitive high quality league in football is worthy of the sack, one year after winning the first league and cup double in the history of the club

    Utter joke.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,932 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

Only one man can take charge of that club now

    Rafa Benitez

A gentleman who deserves much better. When they stuck that Nigerian guy that he doesn't even talk to on the bench with him when Wilkins left the writing was on the wall.

What poor fool are they going to get next?

If I was Daniel Levy I'd be having a long hard think about letting dear old Harold go and appointing Carlo.

I suppose hard to complain when the russian bankrolls the club. He can do what he wants. I hardly think there will be cries of Abromovich out (but please leave your cash :) ). Maybe Hiddink back ? Doubt it will be Jose but you never know.

Was it ever confirmed exactly why Ray Wilkins got the boot? And why there was a need to inform him at half time during a reserve game?

It doesn't look like Roman is terribly serious about the FFP rules either...

Can't work for an english club for 12 months, just like jose and scolari when they were sacked, part of contract.

Time for Chelsea players to make a stand against the Russian Dictator. Surely they are p1ssed off with his actions.

Harsh on Ancelotti but if they get Hiddink or Mourinho back in then I don't think Chelsea fans will shed too many tears.

I'll gladly take him at Barca after Pep moves on, he is an absolute class act.

Whoever comes in will basically be the 6th manager managing what is mostly still Mourinho's team!

What would Chelsea fans think of getting Benitez?

Think most of them care more about money.

Terry, in particular - who is Chelsea till he dies - will look weak if he keeps his mouth shut this time!

Fernando Torres has been present at the "sacking" of three managers in 12 months.

What are you on about, quite a few players are disgruntled with carlo, especially drogba, kalou and mikel. I doubt the players will be too disapointed.

Must have a manager already lined up if they sacked Ancelotti straight away, not like it was a bad season or they were waiting to see if they won the league.
They got the best finish possible at this stage

They're in a delicious dilemma really. They'd have gone bankrupt without the man and he's the reason they're now viewed as an upper tier club around Europe, but at the same time his meddling is undoubtedly messing them about too.

Ah well. They were quite happy to take the money whe they needed it so they'll have to take the bad with the good.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

There's only two managers to spring to mind as to who Chelsea can get in.

Hiddink or Benitez. Hiddink might be a difficult one to lure away from the Turkey job so I'd give my vote to Benitez getting the job.

I don't see Mourinho going back there anytime soon.

Is there any market for next boss? Villas-Boas is a definite IMO

Sacked on the bus home. Classless. Ancelotti deserves better.
