    Hey guys,
just looking for a little help,
I have applied for the level 5 course in st johns with the level 6 a my second preference, would I be able to skip straight to the level 6? I have completed one year of a level 8 course that involved some multimedia (not enough), would this hold any relevance?

Depends on how much of the FETAC Level 5 modules you've covered. You'll have an interview with them at some point, ask them then.

They'll look at your portfolio AFAIK and say if you're suitable for level 6. Then you can go straight to the level 6 course :) Depends on the interview really.
