    Having such a busy week i havent had time to sit down and play mc properly, but i did spot this on steam and give it a go! Not as creatively versatile but definatly alot of fun and looks very good!

    There's a thread in the games forum already but I'll keep this thread here as its relevant to my interest :P

    It's good fun, closest thing to minecraft minus the 3D bit. It certainly has appeal and potential to be a winner.

    I played it, it's very very fun, but I still prefer MC.

    I definitely recommend people try it :)

    i'm so hooked on this at the moment, people just brush it off as a 2d minecraft rip off, including myself at First, but it's got so much more depth to it. A real strong rpg aspect, i love it.

    We may get a server going for the laugh! I really wanna build something big, been stockpiling blocks in SP. I dont have a pc that runs 24/7 though. Are steam doing server hosting i never checked :/

    In the thread in the main games forum, someone has a server up most of the time.

    Does anyone tihnk terraria will replace minecraft?
    It seems more polished immediately and a likelihood that itll be far better while notch is still flucking about?

    Oh defiantly not, the creativity is the side of MC that pushed it where it is today. You have to remember how relatively new survival mode is. Of course if terraria implements its proposed content (objective based pvp worlds, more high end content, muuuuuch easier multiplayer connectivity, more varied building materials) it would certainly drag away a portion of players but I can see it being more of a "well i dont have 3 days to play minecraft so ill have a lash on terraria for an hour" thing
