The likes of Dusty Rhodes, Piper, Macho Man and even Flair would any of these wrestlers cut it in todays wrestling enviroment? What would Jake The Snake be without his promos he created, Flair without the alowence to go 60 minutes, Dusty being held back due to his physique. Would the charasmatic Macho with his colourfull attitude and attire be given a proper chance to shine? The Ultimate Warrior and Sting, would they have recieving the gimmicks that catapulted their careers, or be stuck as comedy fodder like Kozlov, ? Would the Undertaker of becoming a WWE Matt Morgan, a fool with a speach inpediment?

Flair came in with a stellar reputation in his day, much like Bryan (agreed NWA and ROH are on different scales), yet was shown to be a main event player from the get go. The "Real World Champion" as i recall. Bryan was given a losing streak and made look like a nerd.

Same applies the other way around, would Orton, Cena, Edge and the rest of breaking the glass ceiling 21 years ago when competion for the top spot was fierce due to limited titles?

This is not slating the legends of the game, just taking a closer look at WWE creative and their capabilities.

i think the big names of yesteryear would most definately shine. i think wwe needs the likes of the hogans and warriors im not saying bring them back obviously but i dont see anybody there at the moment who has the appeal as they had. can you imagine hogan in todays wwe sure hes even a draw in mickey mouse reality shows.

Some would, some wouldn't. It would depend on all sorts of things. The territories and other promotions let people hone characters for years before they appeared in the big leagues, so that would be a major issue.

Plus in 2011, I can imagine something like Borden Stevenson appearing on NXT and disappearing forever afterwards! Would make a slight change for the Man They Call Sting.

Dusty Rhodes would be laughed out of FCW due to his body.

I am sure WWE would find fault somehow with Piper, Randy etc too.
