I just thought for those of us that will be keeping an eye on all games later today that we should keep all discussion in this one thread.

    The games are:

    Aston Villa v Liverpool, 16:00

    Bolton v Man City, 16:00

    Everton v Chelsea, 16:00

    Fulham v Arsenal, 16:00

    Man Utd v Blackpool, 16:00

    Newcastle v West Brom, 16:00

    Stoke v Wigan, 16:00

    Tottenham v Birmingham, 16:00

    West Ham v Sunderland, 16:00

    Wolverhampton v Blackburn, 16:00

Personally I think Blackpool, Wigan and obviously West Ham will go down, although I'd prefer to see Blackpool or Wigan staying up and Birmingham going down instead.

Thankfully my own club isn't involved for once, but I do know how these sort of days feel and I do genuinely sympathise with supporters of every club involved as relegation is heartbreaking.

It should be a great days action though, I'm really looking forward to it already.

Blackpool to lose 0-1. Birmingham to lose by 2 goals, and Wigan to lose too.

End result - Blackpool somehow staying up on goals scored!

It's going to be quite the day of drama you feel. I don't support any of the teams involved, so I'm quite looking forward to it all unfolding in a perverse kind of way.

I just can't see Blackpool getting anything at OT, but after that I don't know. Wigan are such a Jeckyll and Hyde team, and Spurs are well capable of dropping points at home. Should be lots of twists and turns at any rate!

Personally, would like to see birmingham go down, I am an Arsenal supporter !!!.

Next would be Blackburn. Wolves and Wigan have shown a bit of fight recently and I enjoy Ian Holloway
    .

Probably 1 of the most exciting relegation battles for many years. Personally I'd like to see Blackburn and Birmingham join the Hammers in the championship. However I reckon Blackburn will survive with Birmingham and Blackpool both losing and Wigan taking points so end result will be Wigan surviving with Birmingham and Blackpool getting relegated.

As a Birmingham fan this day will be nerve wrecking. Have already accepted that we will be relegated so if we manage to stay up it would be a shock.

Plenty of teams have gone to Tottenham and got something this season, so you've definitely got a chance, especially as you might not even need to get anything to stay up if Manchester United get a convincing win.

The 1 question is how committed are Spurs to qualifying for the Europa league? Some of their players have been interviewed during the week and have basically said that the Europa league is a distraction for them? Will they go out tomorrow half hearted and maybe Birmingham will take advantadge? It'll be interesting that's for sure.

    Blackpool are down IMO.

Man Utd's second string team will be far too strong for them and a lot of them will be playing for a place in the CL final squad. I expect them to beat them 3 or 4-0.

I think Birmingham will get something at Spurs/Lose by a goal or two at the most and I think Wigan will lose to Stoke so Birmingham will stay up.

So Wigan, Blackpool and obviously West Ham. I'd love to see Blackburn or Wolves go down but I can't see it.

I would like Wolves to stay up Mick Mac acted with a lot of dignity when the then chairman of SAFC Bob Murray shat on him.

If Spurs finish 5th they get the UEFA Cup, it they finish 6th they also get it through the fair play lark, but have to play a rake of extra qualifying games. I'd imagine they want to avoid this and get 5th

Ya this is true if we don't get fifth we have to start qualifiers on like June 30th!

I don't like Arry, but this was absolutely quality. Arry talking about the Europa League, fair play qualification, and Defoe's availability on Thursday nights

Skip to the 55 second mark

Am off to see Stoke Wigan. Reckon Wigan will go down or at least I hope they do, otherwise this could be a pretty boring game.

Well that's enough said,I can't see Birmingham surviving at all now. Either way Spurs are going to qualify for the Europa League so winning today will make life a little bit easier for them than going through a summer long of qualifiers!

Stoke have nothing to play for, I can see Wigan going there and winning, especially with N'Zogbia putting himself in the shop window. What does this mean for the teams above them? Birmingham were dire last week, I can't see them getting anything. Blackpool have conceded 70+ goals this year and will probably ship a few more today. I would expect everything to be a lot clearer at half time. Wolves and Blackburn could probably just stand around, let the match finish 0-0 and be alright.

If Wigan win then it's basically over for Birmingham and Blackpool as I can't see either of them winning.

Hoping Spurs line up with Hudd and Sandro in midfield and Luka on the left we always play better with one wide player and one tucking in.

    Fulham 1-3 Arsenal
    Stoke City 1-1 Wigan
    Aston Villa 3-1 Liverpool
    Bolton 0-2 Man City
    Newcastle 1-1 West Brom
    Everton 1-2 Chelsea
    Manchester United 3-0 Blackpool
    Wolverhampton 2-0 Blackburn
    Tottenham 4-0 Birmingham
    West Ham 2-0 Sunderland

    What are your predictions??

Which would leave the bottom looking like this:

    Wolves 43
    B'Burn 40
    Wigan 40
    B'ham 39
    Blackpool 39
    WHU 36

    Fingers crossed!

just read this on the bbc website.

two teams are tied for 17th and 18th places, are level on points and have exactly the same goal difference and goals scored, what exactly would happen? We would enter uncharted territory - there would be a relegation play-off. Here is the official line from the Premier League: "If, at the end of the season, either the League champions or the clubs to be relegated or the question of qualification for other competitions cannot be determined because two or more clubs are equal on points, goal difference and goals scored, the clubs concerned shall play off one or more deciding league matches on neutral grounds, the format, timing and venue of which shall be determined by the board." Tasty.

    This would be cool

methinks birmingham and blackpool are gone.

Jamie Redknapp: I don't think Jose Mourinho would get 39 points with that group of players at Blackpool.

    What????

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

    from guardian.

"I went through the 81 possibilities you linked to and tallied up how many times each side featured in a permutation," writes Kari Tulinius. "Here's the tally: Wigan 53, Blackpool 48, Birmingham 39, Wolves 14, Blackburn 8. So of the 81 possible results of the day, Wigan go down in 53 of them, Blackpool in 48 and so on. I can't honestly say whether this means anything, but it kept me occupied for a few minutes."

If birmingham lose 5-3 and Wigan 1-0 and Blackpool lose than there would be a playoff between Wigan and Blackpool!
