Attention all musicians!!!

Normal, Bar The Sword are recruiting.
Currently, we have a 6-piece lineup, featuring guitars, vocals, bass, drums, harp and Viola. We play fun music, which is definitely rock/alternative-oriented, but branch into all sorts. Having played some gigs and established a strong set of original songs we are now looking to find the following:

1 - a guitarist (acoustic or electric) who is comfortable with vocal harmonies, and could play some basic stuff on any other instrument,

OR

2 - a synth/Keyboard player, who can sing and play a bit of guitar,

OR

3 - a cellist. We had one but lost them, so now we want another,

OR

4 - a trumpeter

OR

5 - someone who plays something we haven't thought of yet, or even better, a few somethings,

OR

6 - all of the above, or mixtures of.

Would especially like to hear from some female vocalists, but we want to talk to everyone who wants to have a lot of fun making music and playing gigs.

Band is based in Dublin, has male and female members, and range in ages from 20s to 30s. We will talk to anyone. Looking for people comfortable with their instruments, up for trying things, and looking for something interesting.

One rehearsal per week, very relaxed practice atmosphere, and aiming to play as many gigs as can be got and have as much fun as possible.

I like to put an alternative angle to music so I'd be at least interested in knowing what you'd be aiming for? What kind of sound or bands would represent your approach??

We're now also looking for a bassist. Seperate ad going up now.

GZ - We're open to any style of musician. We play a wide-ish variety of alternative/rock in our set. Assembly-wise, I suppose Arcade Fire would be an obvious reference, but from song to song we could be compared to any different type of thing.

Great stuff. Will you drop me a PM with some info on yourself, and if possible, some recording of you. If you put on a phone number I'll contact you that way. Aiming to recruit in the next 2 weeks to work towards some gigging commitments.
