    Howdy all,

So I'm going on holidays soon but I just wanted to know, what sun cream / care stuff should I get if I want to get a tan but also be totally protected from whatever harmful stuff is being radiated our way.

I colour easily, when we had that like week of sun a while back I did go red... not tan... :( :P so... yeah.

Oh and MODS if this is in the wrong place please feel free to shove it off to where it belongs! :):)

A tan *is* sun damage, so it's essentially impossible to have a natural one and be protected from damage at the same time!

It also all depends on your skin type. I wouldn't go out into hot sun in less than factor 30, anything less and I'll burn. Others can make do with 10 or 15... best plan is just to slap on total block (anything above 30) and hope for the best!

A friend of mine used to work in a dermatology clinic and they used to recommend the Boots Soltan range of sun creams. Also the Vichy range. Both ranges were top of the range regarding protection from UVA and UVB and had the research to back them up. They would also recommend that you wear the high factor (e.g. factor 30).

Enjoy the sun and be sun safe!
