I noticed a good few of these still sitting in Aldi for the same price €99.99..Are they any use? I know they come with a 3 year warranty but would they be any good on exhaust bolts, etc? I only need something for occasional use.

We have one of these for occasional work, no idea when we got it but its ages ago at this stage and the only complaint i'd have would be the tank seems small when your using it. it keeps kicking back in to compress more air. Other than that its spot on.

I have one for about 5/6 years now. I don't use it for painting, but it's handy for the air inflator, air duster, torque gun, nail gun, that sort of stuff. It's low capacity and will keep refilling, but for the DIY'er, it's brilliant.

Don't think I'd get one being honest...

    Reason being

I've had one of these for 4 years with no issues. It's been used for spraying, torque gun, nail gun, inflating, etc. with no problems. As others have said, it does have a small tank if you're more accustomed to a larger compressor, but it fills in no time.

I reckon the only reason there's a few left is everybody who needs one bought the last time they were in. For €99 it's good value.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

Nearly everything these days is made in China not just cheap stuff. Aldi/Lidl only sell items which pass the German TuV test, so they may be cheap but they aren't rubbish.

does it switch on when the pressure falls below a certain level?

It does - but nearly all compressors do that.

I have one if these compressors and never used it for spraying till this week. When I connect to the regulator outlet the pressure drops to 0 only on that side. There is pressure to begin with but the second i connect its gone. The other outlet still has pressure.

Could the regulator valve need some WD40. Compressor been sitting for a while in the garage.

I have one and the internal tank was far too small.

I just connected up a large 50L heating system expansion vessel (that had a blown diaphram, rated to 10 bars nominal, 16 max) with a some 1/2" plumbing fittings to the threaded fitting on the tip of the tank.

    Job done.

I have one, works great, as above small tank is a bit annoying.
Btw the fittings on it are standard......but not the normal standard that most others use, so if you want to borrow your mates air tools you will probably have to invest a few bob changing the fittings.

I noticed I started this thread...when I eventually went back to get one they'd gone half price to €49 - all had gone bar 1 that's box was ripped and missing air filter asked the manager and he gave it to me for €35

Handy although I've only used the nail gun a few times so far
