The pawl spring on my rear Fulcrum went after about 3000K, although the replacements are fairly cheap its not much use if you are a long way from home and didn't carry a spare.

Is it common for these to go? Or is it just a faulty wheel? I did email Fulcrum over a week ago but as yet no response.

Mine went 2 weeks ago on my Zondas they're about 6 yrs old now and god knows how many thousands of kms are on them.

Did find it a wee bit hard to source a new spring though LBS came to the rescue, last one they had lying around, so i ordered a box of 5 of them just in case it happens again in the future, if your stuck i could send u out one.

Nice one cheers, you're very kind. I have a box of five on order thanks. I was very peeved that it went with so little mileage in the wheels, It went when I was in Dingle cycling back to Bantry, there was nothing I could do so it was tour over and had to be air lifted by the wife!

No problem thought u might have been stuck for one hence the offer.

Strange yours went after so few kms on it, when mine broke i could still cycle the bike the pawls were still gripping the hub no problem, just that when i'd free wheel the clicky sound didn't sound right, so i suspect mine was broke for a few weeks but i just kept riding it :o
