Both teams very evenly matched I thought, Kavanagh was by far the best player on the pitch and deserved his goal.

Decent crowd turned out aswell. We really need to sort out our home form, seems the players think there is pressure on them to perform at home. Great to see Fagan come on, we can finally go back to playing two up top.

Don't seem to be disappointed at all tbh, its a nice break from the constant frustration of last season if though we were winning.

Wasnt there but heard you had a stone wall peno and we had a "hawkeye" moment.

Was looking like a great night tonight see Cork losing and Shels just after taking the lead. Only to find out at full-time Cork came back to win 2-1. Either way, Shels win.

As for Derry City, what a shower of c*nts, had them in my 4 LoI bets tonight and were the only team to let me down.

Paddy Kav isn't a happy chap. Giving out on Twitter, presumably about not starting.

    Quote?

He deserves to imo. McCabe hasnt lit the pitch alight with his performances imo. The only problem is Shep has been playing essentially out wide with a three man midfield and Billy out on the other wing.

Very hard to displace Shep atm and the three lads in the middle are doing amazing. Finn is simply class, Ricer is ricer and McCormac is really starting to impress me, especially in the cup final...very up for it and gives every challenge his all.

Missed tonights game, everyone ive praised were probally terrible. Looking at the starting line up it seems we even changed back to 442 and dropped Shep. Can not wait to see who starts in the CB roles next week. Oman has been super, Sives scored, and Murray is...captain. Interesting.

    This is his first one:
    paddykavanagh15 Patrick Kavanagh
    I'm not ****in happy tweeps!!!

    Followed by:

    paddykavanagh15 Patrick Kavanagh
Any one wanna give me a game for there five a side team or summit!!!! #loadofmesack

Doesn't explicitly say it, but it's not exactly rocket science either.

I definitely think we can count Drogheda out of the title race....

Could've been 6, 7, 8-0 had Dennehy Kilduff and Sheppard taken their chances even allowing for the very slow opening 45 minutes.

Bar Derry costing me a nice payout a good night in the end.

Gearoid Morrissey with the winner down in Wexford. Superb player. Not many like him down in this division. Athletic and a footballer.

Not surprised to see Daryl Kavanagh making hay in the premier league. Different class last season.

Steeped to get three points tonight.

Paddy K has a right to be annoyed when out of form players in his position keep getting the nod ahead of him. He's never really been given enough time to impress and it's obvious MON doesn't rate him. Can see him at Pats or Bohs before long.

Slow first half but dominated second with some nice ball and should have won by two or three more.

McCormack is starting to look like a piece of business on the scale of Twigg: smashing little player in more than one position. O'Donnell being available is going to present some headaches.

He has had plenty of chances and has done hee haw. Surprised he wasn't punted, and probably would have been if there were any clubs buying mediocre players. He is not good enough.

Big time. Fantastic little player, the perfect balance to allow Finn to get forward

MON has to be given serious credit for some of the gems he's unearthed: Twigg, Sives, and now McCormack.

Not saying Paddy is better than the others but not sure he would offer any less than them when they are not doing much at all, like last night.

Yous definitely deserved the draw tbh, although Conan misses a sitter for us too aswell so could have gone either way. Cowen didn't have his best of matches but still was a threat anytime he got the ball.

Would agree about the first two, but if MON has any kind of football contact in Dundalk he would know about McCormack. There was stuff in the local papers about him all the time.
Plenty of talk of us signing him over the past couple of seasons and he even trained with us last Summer. No idea why it never went ahead. Can understand why he moved to Rovers as it would probably increase his chances of getting a move across the water.

Fair enough. I thought we were the only ones interested in him at the start of this season though?

I don't think we offered him a contract as far as I know which was crazy as word around town was he was interested in signing.
Great signing for Rovers although can't see him hanging around for too long as his ambition is to get playing abroad.
Foster has a great record with signing players but definitely got this one wrong.

What is most impressive about him is not just his work rate and that he's a good player but in more than one position. Has really impressed in midfield and as a full-back.

Didn't derserve the win on that evidence.

Didn't derserve the win on that evidence.

As those of us who are at the game have already said.

I think there's a consesus amongst Reds that if can up our performances we could stroll to promotion. We've played fairly poorly so far this season and we're top.

Though others will say we've been scraping victories so early in the season that we can't keep that up until October...

Paiso can't comeback soon enough for us. Himself and Delaney are way too good for this level.
