The first of 3 consecutive, Dolomite mountaintop, finishes. These 3 stages will go a long way to deciding who gets second place behind Contadoper.

Bring it on. I'm trying to think if I've ever seen three more savage back to back stages.

Cavendish, Petacchi, Renshaw, Hondo and Ventoso have all bailed. Wonder why that is?;)

Will the master Contador attack today. I doubt it, he will wait till tomorrow surely to destroy the field. Either Rujano or Sella win this from a break. Or a small group of Contador, Rujano, Nibali, Garzelli and Kreuziger will contest a sprint. If Contador decides not to contest it, Nibali or Garzelli for me.

Who cares about Contadoper, if he wins it will be struck from the records when CAS bans him.

When we will have to see about that. Legend in the making, sit back and enjoy the next few days and watch him decimate the field. Why are you even following this, when you know Contadaorrrrrrrrrrrr is going to win the tour fairly comfortably.

Lads I have my opinion on Contador, I think he is a brilliant cyclist, the best of his generation. I am looking forward to him destroying the field in the next few days. Some people don't like him fair enough I respect that, but it won't stop me supporting him. Sean Kelly failed drugs test as well, does he get the same grilling in here as well

Anyone wanting to watch The Giro for free and is unable to or does not have eurosport, you can D/L sopcast from here http://www.sopcast.com/download/ and Eurosport is channel 60713, just type this number, in the window and press the blue arrow, there is no need for a login once you open the program, as there is a default login, hope this helps anyone, the stream comes in perfectly

Great sportsmanship by Contador in gifting Rujano the stage. How much will he win the Giro by 10 minutes if he wants I'd say.

Contador is an outstanding climber(excepting all thats been said before) and watching him today ease up that gradient was fantastic. Cheered up my day somewhat after a night of vomiting thanks to picking up a bug, visiting a relative in hospital.

He'll have the points and mountains classifications sown up as well by the time they reach Milan (Who was the last to do that in a Grand Tour?). I think he's relatively cruising with the possibility of competing in the Tour in mind. Saying that, some of the others who appear to be underperforming may just be using this a warm up while hoping Bertie won't make the Tour line-up.

Anyway, FrAndy must be cacking it!

A pity - in some ways - but understandable to some extent.
It further plays into Contadors favour as the decent of the Crostis was a place that Nibali might have excelled and pulled a bit back on Contador before the mountaintop finish on Zoncolan.

Its that it for the Giro as a sporting competition? It looks impossible to gain 3 minutes on Contador.....
