Anyone know, if I can use black out curtain lining as the main curtain its self ?
I would like to tie-dye it the colours of the room.At the same time,I would not like it to be see through when closed,or for to be able to see a light on .

Yes you can but dying a regular black out fabric can be difficult because you may damage its black out chatacteristic!
Designers Guild do a blackout fabric in lots of colours and also with a Strie effect. Think it retails around €24.00 per m

Hi , I agree that you will compromise the blackout fabric. If you fancy a bit of colour you could try to sew on some coloured voile fabric, then you will have the best of both worlds!

Thank you both, have decided to go with the voile. Solely due to cost as I can get two sets of linings which will do two windows for €25.98 at the moment.:D

That's great, take a pic when it's done and show us how it worked out for you!
