Hey all, hope I'm posting this in the right forum. Basically I'm 17 years old, on summer holidays in a couple of weeks, and am interested in starting going out jogging to build up my fitness levels. I go to a gym and have an average enough level of fitness but am still not very good at running, i.e I can't really run that far or for very long. I'm just looking for advice really regarding how much running to do when starting, diet advice and other general tips.

    Thanks.

a good program to start running with is the couch to 5k, google it. im a terrible runner but have been following this and getting better! not sure about diet, just make sure u have plenty of water in your system and you are not eating fatty foods 10 minutes beforehand!

    Hi

Make sure you have regular meals (3 a day), that you eat proper food so that you can make the best of your run. Water for sure, before, during if you can carry some, otherwise after..I do also recommend the Couch-to5K, worked for me.

Keep the good work up !
