Hi, not too sure if this is the right place to post this but I have a load of spiritual books and books on zombies (lol I know) that I want to get rid of and was wondering where would the best place be to trade them in for cash? I have heard chapters is a good place to go in Dublin.

I know I wouldnt get much for them but they are just sitting there and I have no space for them anymore, but all are in very good condition.

    Any advice?

Sorry again if this is the wrong place to post this!!

    RLG

AFAIK, the spiritual and zombie books end up in the same section. :p

Chapters have their own system, some books they take and some they won't - they say that you can try again as it depends on stock.
The price they give you is very low, possibly a bit more if you opt to be given credit in the store.

Perhaps there are better places to go, someone else may know...

not sure about Chapters but you can always advertise your books here

    and Chapters policy on trade-ins

We buy, sell and exchange books, CDs and DVDs for cash or store credit. Our price is based on their secondhand retail value, which takes into account an item’s desirability, it’s price new and our current stock levels.

We cannot say what we would be interested in on any given day, so it’s always best to ‘phone us before you call in. However, we usually welcome classic fiction, vintage Penguin paperbacks, westerns, crime fiction, sci-fi, literary fiction, Folio Society books, history and Irish interest books. We only buy the current editions of college books – we can check these for you by e-mail - if you include the title and ISBN.

For larger quantities of books (50 or over), please ‘phone ahead to be sure we can accommodate you.

These are our guidelines, for books, CDs and DVDs:
No rips, tears, stains or odours
No writing or highlighting (owner’s name written in the front is fine)
    No loose pages
    No broken bindings
    No library or ex-library books
No proof copies or books marked “not for resale”
All hardcovers should have a dustjacket (if originally sold with one)
All books that included media (CDs, DVDs, maps etc) should have them
CDs & DVDs should not be scratched and should have their original covers (we do not buy CD singles or copies of CDs or DVDs)
We don’t buy magazines or out-of-date travel guides.
