The UK got a few releases yesterday.
You might still have to wait on the carriers to push it through to you.
Are you sim free or locked to a network ?

If you wanted to and were up to it you could flash a gingbread rom yourself.
Lots of info here and on XDA about doing so.

It's a Galaxy Mini and simlocked to Tesco Mobile. I'm quite happy to wait for the official push :) - was just curious to see if somebody had already got it and if there were any problems ^^

Its a new model, S5570. :),, entry level smart phone and my first android phone. Absolutely love it :P although the short battery life takes some getting used to :P

heard the same about the push out.. do we have to wait for meteor or can we just go from kies?

I have installed the latest version of Kies on 2 laptops
    64 bit Windows 7
    32 bit Windows XP

The phone USB settings is set to Kies, when I plug the phone in via USB, the Kies software does not pick up the phone on either OS. When the USB setting is set to Mass Storage, again the Phone is not picked up on either laptop. Would have expected the phone to picked up as an externel drive in this case.

So do you reckon I have a dodgy phone? I am aware that Kies is not currently supported for 64 bit versions of Windows 7.

Any ideas??? I'm trying to upgrade the firmware to Gingerbread, as I am currently on 2.1, stuck with Vodafone as well.

    Thanks.

Really is painless and quick. as I say 10 min job and after a restart your done. Oh and make sure you have your network apn info for getting your 3g working after. You can ask here if you like

    Good luck!

Edit: please think about backing up your phone and/or apps before starting.

Thanks for the link. I've just updated my phone. Sweet, sweet Gingerbread never tasted so good! Still need to re-add my non-Google account phone numbers but should have no worries with that.

    Thanks again, God's Toy!
