Recommend Accountant for Tax Return?

    Hi folks

    My wife and myself have been using Cornmarket (Midas scheme for teachers) for the past 3 or 4 years to prepare and submit our annual tax returns. However we feel we are not getting a good service, and would prefer to take control and handle future tax returns ourselves.

    We are both typical PAYE workers, with my wife a public sector employee, and myself employed in the private sector. Apart from our jobs, the only other source of income we have is a rental property owned by my wife.

    We would like to find an accountant who would sit down with us, and take us through the tax return process step by step, so that when the time comes again the following year we can handle it ourselves.

    Obviously we are happy to pay the going rate to an accountant for this one-off service, of preparing and submitting our tax return, while at the same time showing us exactly how to do it.

    Can anyone recommend an accountant in the Lucan area of Dublin who could provide this service? What is the typical going rate?
