Ireland should have a 'RAGBRAI'

I was looking into RAGBRAI - Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa.

It sounds great. It's a 7 day non-competitive ride across Iowa State, covering 500miles. Nearly 20,000 riders take part each year. They stop in small towns and villages along the way, eating local food, listen to live music, drink and take part in wet t-shirt competitions. Like the Tour de France, communities compete with each other to get RAGBRAI to go through their area as it pumps so much money into the locality. Gear is carried on trucks to each overnight town. Tourism Ireland needs to get creative.

i was supposed to do this this year until a change in girlfriend required a change in plan :P . . .its supposed to be crazy. you had to register by 1st may if you want to do it this year unfortunately, and its a lottery for the places as its generally over subscribed. 150 dollars for the week, if i remember correctly. pretty good value for what you get
