i bought a internet tablet from china (€138) and it arrived broken, the seller offered me 100 and i refused it,I let it run through pay pal and esclated it to a claim when the seller wouldent reply, paypal have made a decision that i should get a full refund but i have to return the item at my own cost, the weight for shipping is less than 1.5kg and looking at anpost it will cost about €66, should I be liable for the return shipping? paypal dont have a facility for me to argue the case further, they want me to supply tracking info in the next 10 days or the case will be closed,Do I have any options?

hate you say it, but I think you're screwed no matter what you do.

this is the part of the risk of buying from china, every so often you'll get scammed.

No, and you should have taken the first offer of €100. If you decide to return the tablet without a tracking number you will probably get nothing back at all.

Your username makes me so laugh !

You should have accepted the €100 and put it on a deposit for a decent tablet locally .
If you had known that it was going to €66 to return , I presume you would have accepted the €100.

Have you tried opening a dispute through the Chinese website ?

It is true that you are responsible for return shipping , but check again with Anpost , it may be cheaper and maybe should go package post ( registered of course )

I see this as your options :
    1. keep tablet and get it fixed
    2. keep it and sell it ( as needing repairs )
    3. send it back and get refund through Paypal
    4. Open dispute through purchase website
Online shopping is a real learning experience , and it is becoming more renowned , that electrical items from the Far-East can be dodgy .

Update... went to the post office and the postage was only €20.95 to china for registered post with a tracking number. I still cant work that one out ,the only registered post in the rates section on the website is National only!
so im a tenner better off than I would have been if I had accepted their orignal offer, still down 20 yo yo's on the deal though,
    Think Before You Buy !!

No idea where you got €66 from. The rates calculator on the An Post site says €27

Anyways, you'll know for in future :)
