    ...for a reasonable price.

I have been buying 2$ earphones from ebay for a while now but they were poor quality and always break, plus the sound quality wasn't great as you'd imagine.

Can anyone reccomend a good pair? Let's say my budget is €20, but I could stretch to 50 for a REALLY good pair.

all earphones will break soon enough unless you wrap correctly (not around player) and keep protected in soft pouch when carrying around in pocket etc.

for €20 soundmagic pl30 is good

for €50 fischer audio eterna rev 1 are great

Treat your earphones with care and they will last. It's as simple as that. That means NOT wrapping them haphazardly around your iPod and stuffing them in your pocket. Most decent quality earphones will come with some kind of storage pouch. Once you're done listening, wrap the earphones around 3-4 fingers and place them inside this.

I recommend the Sony MDR-EX500LP. I bought these from my local HMV at christmas and they are by far the best earphones i have ever bought!

They cost €69.99 but search online and i would say you could get them for €50.

Don't look too durable :/ Look like they'd break as soon as I take them out of the box.

Meelec M6s are fantastic and pretty sturdy. Meelectronics also have excellent customer care so they'd look after you either way.

The seem very good and very affordable. On Amazon for €15 which is 56% off :D Very happy. Thanks very much and I think we've found a winner :) I'll give them a go anyway. Thanks.

The M6s also come with a hard pouch which I urge you to use.
