T-shirt Transfer Paper

Anyone ever used transfer paper to make T-shirt prints.
You iron them on once you print your design on the paper

Anyone have any ideas where I can get some transfer paper cheap?

Any tips??

Iron-on transfer paper is really easy to use. Just make sure you follow the instructions properly to ensure the image transfers completely. Don't have the iron too hot though - I did manage to scorch one of my transfers with an iron.

Most computer supply stores and Tesco sell 10 A4 sheets of the transfer paper. It's usually cheaper to buy it in Tesco than the computer supply stores though.

I was looking at some online and saw a price tag of about 200e, it mustve been industrial stuff!

Im using them to print on to colour dyed tshirts-
but was wondering can you do them in colour?? ie. Print your transfer in colour

Any help appreciated!

Yes, you can print the transfer in colour. Most transfer papers are for use on white or light colours. If you're going to iron onto dark colours, get a paper suitable for that. The standard paper is see-through so wouldn't show well on dark colours. And if you've got any white in your design, that's normally totally transparent so if, e.g., you're doing white lettering, that doesn't actually print as white - it prints transparent so that the white t-shirt underneath makes it look white ... if that makes sense? (i.e., print cartridges don't come in white!)

Did you find any in the end? I'm in the same boat.
Im in Cork lookin for cheap tshirt transfer paper, cant find any in Tescos yet, im a super poor art teacher pc world is a little steep, did you have any luck?

Sorry for resurrecting this but does anyone know if this paper is still available in Tesco , or where the cheapest place to buy it would be ?

I don't want to buy a big packet because I just want to try one out first and see how my design looks.

I've got the same Transfer Paper from Aldi and had very bad experience with it. Generally speaking printed image didn't want to peal off base paper. I checked different times and techniques (started with one from paper cover) and got no success. 3 t shirts wasted and one kid disappointed. Did anyone managed it working?

I ended up getting mine from Universal Office Supplies €7 a pack , think there was 5 sheets in a pack.

I needed it for dark fabrics but the sheets for white fabrics were cheaper. Worked out very well.

I retuned my 2 packs of Aldi's Transfer Paper - fair play to them I got refund for both even if one was already open.
