    I should of posted this earlier On Saturday at Cashel Rugby Club a 'Tipperary 'Tigers' team will play against a Michael Lynagh Select XV. The game is to support Scoil Chormaic in Cashel.
    The Tipp Tigers are a combined team drawn from Clonmel, Cashel, Kilfeacle and Clanwilliam clubs. This must be the first time these teams have got together! The event is being organised by the 4 clubs aka Tipperary Tigers and I understand that Cashel have been chosen to host it as the school is in Cashel, but is a school that draws kids from all around the county.
    The game will include players and ex players such as Doug Howlett, Freddy Pucciariello, Frankie Sheahan and I am told many other high profile ex and current players will be taking part - some playing and others coaching e.g I understand Doug Howlett will be coaching the backs in the Michael Lynagh select XV.
    Game is followed by BBQ and Heineken Cup Final.
    Admission: Adult €10, Children Free

    Stars Of The Past To Play In Cashel RFC
    19 May 2011, 3:55 pm
    By The Editor

    Munster rugby stars of the past will take on a selected Tipperary side when the two teams meet in Cashel RFC at 2pm on Saturday the 21st May.

    Stalwarts such as Federico Pucciariello, Frankie Sheahan, Alan Quinlan, John Kelly and Anthony Horgan will team up with a formidable contingent of current domestic rugby players to take on the “Tipperary Tigers” as part of former Australian International player Michael Lynagh’s team selection. The Tigers will be comprised of top players from Cashel, Clonmel, Kilfeacle and Clanwilliam rugby clubs with all proceeds being donated in aid of local Tipperary special needs school Scoil Chormaic.
    Ireland's most capped back row forward Simon Easterby will also make an appearance as a spectator and will be joined on the sidelines by some of Munster’s old and new representative players to demonstrate the Rugby community's support for this great cause.
    Children’s entertainment will be on hand from 1.00 p.m. and large screens will be provided to watch the Heineken Cup final. A BBQ will also be put on by the club for the day.
    Michael Lynagh will be on hand to present jerseys to his squad and in a unique cross sport gesture the Tigers' jerseys will be presented to them by Declan Ryan the Tipperary Hurling Manager.
    * €10 Admission by ticket or on the gate
    * Free entry for children

    took this from another site from someone who was at the game:
    Despite the rain a good turn out, crowd of around 800. There was some very good rugby played for about an hour then as they got tired it got a bit loose.Quinnie started and played well enough.Anthony Horgan showed he`s lost no pace and John Kelly ran some great lines.Star of the show though was Pucci who was all over the place,Dont know what the final score was I think that the Tip side won by about 10 but the word in the bar was that a deal had been struck at 44-44.
    Turned out to be an excellent format and was great for the school.Good for Rugby in Tipp too the players bonded pretty quickly and they nearly all stayed behind having a few pints together after the game.Lynagh was impressed with standard-I`d say we havent seen the last of the Tigers.
