    Hi,
I might be a position where I am lucky enough to have more than one job offer.

    Let me explain.

    Applied to three companies A, B, C.

Company A - have said they are keen and want to complete things quickly
Company B - completed 2nd interview. Expecting to hear back soon.
Company C - have to do second interview this week

Basically, I need to get some thinking time. Company A want things done and dusted but B or even C could make a better offer.

any advice appreciated? What do I say to Company A to let them know I am enthusiastic (I am but just want to consider all options) but at the same time to get some reasonable amount of thinking time to see how Company C go and if they come up with anything.

Again, I appreciate I am very lucky here ( I actually have a job at the moment as well). But I really need thinking time here got burnt in the property boom like half the country and have a family to look after

    Thanks a mill.

I don't know. Just say you have more offers and you want to spend more time thinking. If they don't agree to that, then maybe just take the offer. They could end up offering you a higher salary.

Just slow the process and then ask for contract from A and take a week or so to mull it over. Could buy yourself prob 2 weeks without actually comitting to anything.
Best of luck with what ever one you actually accept!

I've been in a similar situation in the past except in my case it was just two companies. Company A made an offer but I really wanted to work with Company B. I accepted Company A's offer fully prepared to jump ship to Company B if an offer materialised.

Depending on the job offer you might be on probation for three months or something which is normally used to the company's advantage to let you go with a minimum of fuss but conversely can also be used by the employee to do the same. Remember that it's down to you to do the best for yourself, not a company.

Tell them you've an offer from another company, and a second interview lined up. Then prepare to negotiate :)
