The only thing I'd say about those senders is that they're on 2.4GHz frequency rather than 5.8GHz, which means there may be a lot of interference with them, as that's the standard frequency for things like routers, microwaves and cordless phones.

If you'd got one working on the 5.6Ghz would they work fairly well? All interested in getting them...

I have one but I never use it. It depends on the software for OCR but it comes with a lite version without OCR. Hence you only get a collection of electronic images that you already have on paper.

If you want to record diagrams electronically then it is useful but handwritten pages on screen are useless as I found out when I wanted it for taking meeting notes.

I have that video sender and they work pretty well. Sending diagonally through a 3 bed semi-det. Little bit of interference every now and again but does the job for a bedroom tv. have it sitting beside my wireless router also!!. No dect phones in the house and generally dont have the microwave on when im in bed :p

Could the video sender transmit from a upc box to another room and allow you to watch it when your in your bedroom?

Yeah, I have one and it's flawless. Maybe once every couple of nights it gets a bit of interfernce and you have to turn the aerial thingy by maybe half an inch but that's it. The only thing is depending on where they are placed people walking across them may interfere.

Yep. That's what I do. Most of them come with a remote extender too so you can change the channel etc.

Got one of the video sender things yesterday, thanks OP:) Set it up from the sky box to the tv in my bedroom and it seems to work ok. There was interference from the microwave, but that's not something that would be on often anyway. I can't get the remote extender to work though:(

Did anybody see the wireless senders/receivers in any of the Dublin stores? I tried Long Mile Rd tonight but there were sold out.

Could the video thingy be used to send sound from tv to some speakers across the room?

    Hi,

Wasn't sure how to name this thread, but a couple of good deals in ALDI are to be had at the minute.

Wireless Video & Audio Sender/Receiver Reduced to €14.99

Would I be able to send laptop audio and video to TV using this? Now I am using a 6 mtr cable to connect the video and another 6 mtr cable to connect the audio!

If this one doesnt work, any other cheap wireless option?

yes, they had plenty of them in Newlands Cross branch. Keep going towards Tallaght and take a right at the petrol station coming from Fonthill side.

They also had the Ipod docks with wireless orb speakers reduced from €50 to €30 (so I couldn't resist buying my first Christmas present).

Haven't taken it out of box yet but think this is the one. http://www.quesh.co.uk/news/News/New_Products_Out_7th_November_2010_25.html
