    Hey guys,

Haven't got a 3 wood in the bag and thinking of adding one.
I have struggled in the past with ones I've used so am looking for something for higher handicapper and easy to get off the floor

This review suggests TM Superfast does the trick.

Any one any thoughts on that club or any others for that matter ?

    thanks

In the same boat here. High handicapper and have trouble lauching my 3 wood (currently use a Wilson). I'm currently thinking of getting a Mizuno as I hear they are very furgiving and easy to hit.

I was an 18 handicapper up to recently (and heading North). Was having problems getting consistent results with my 3 wood, until I played 9 holes with our club pro who identified the problem for me. He took one look at my 3 wood (an expensive new one) and explained that the club had a stiff shaft and had insufficient loft for a high handicapper like me.
He then gave me a try with the club he had in the bag – a Callaway Great Big Bertha Hawk Eye 3 wood with a regular shaft and 15 degrees of loft.
Tried it and hit a great shot to the green first time.
He definitely advised a regular shaft and 15 degrees of loft.
However, the Hawk Eye 3 Wood club is no longer being made, so I looked for one on eBay. Got one in good nick (making sure to get the right loft and shaft) and at less than the asking price on eBay - all with very little effort.
With chipping lessons this year with our new club pro and combined with more consistency with the Hawk Eye 3 Wood, I’m now down to 15.5.

3 handicapper told me to get one with a regular shaft too.I play a 18* hybrid but seems like the way o go with a 3 wood.

I used to struggle with a 3-wood so got a 4-wood instead, the few extra degrees of loft make it easier to get in the air. I notice very little difference in distance between a well struck 3-wood and the 4-wood. Just that I have more well struck shots with the 4. Mine is a 2nd hand Mizuno F-50.

Spotted an f-60 4 wood online.
Would you consider it easy to get into the air off the deck ?
Of course your handicap might also need to be taken into account - no point saying yes without saying I'm off 3 :D

If you like rescue woods you could always get one with about 17 degrees of loft or maybe lower.
It might work for you better than a traditional 3W.

Have a 16 Cobra Baffler but find it hard to hit.
Small enough head and probably only goes as far as my 19 degree TM rescue so looking for something longer but still easy to get airborne - if it exists :D

Maybe the ball position is not right in your stance with the longer clubs.
Ball should be close to front foot with 3 wood.
This will definitely help you get it airborne providing you have right shaft and a decent enough swing.
