I have a Fujitsu Siemens laptop and have broken the charger. :(
I went to get one yesterday and they are 70+ euro and the multi ones are 80+

Been online this morning and laptopchargers.ie have them for 35 euro but amazon uk have them from 7 stg!!! Anyone bought these types of things from Amazon before?

Havent tried amazon before but if you can source the output DC voltage of an adapter suitable to your laptop you should be fine.

I had a few problems before with a laptop that required 17.5VDC and when I set the potentiometer on the generic charger it didnt charge the laptop. I checked the output voltage with a multimeter and it was reading 10VDC when it was set to 17.5VDC. It did whole voltages fine thou.

I ordered a replacement one for a Dell a few months back on ebay for about €15 (p+p about another €5). Works perfectly. Came from the UK.

I bought one on amazon.co.uk. Works with no problems.

The current and voltage are an exact match to the original charger.

You must be certain that the voltage does not exceed the required voltage.

Okay - clearly I have no idea about any of this stuff so this is what I found on the machine itself:

    Fujitsu Siemens Amilo - L7320GW

    On the charger - 20V - 3.25A OP
    100 - 240V - 1.5A IN
    Model 5ADP - 65KB A

All double dutch to me though.

This one should do the trick I reckon. Check the pics to make sure the charger head is the same as yours

Maybe people can help me on this one too....
    My charger said Input - 100-240V - 1.5A, Output 18.5V - 3.5A.

    It is lost....

    I have one here which says Input 100-240V - 1.5A, Output 19V - 4.74A.

Given the different outputs, if i use the older one I have from a old laptop, could it damage my new one ?

From the limited amount that I know, the voltage should not exceed the voltage on your old charger or you can fry your laptop.

That said, I really only have second hand information and I see that the difference is only half a volt.

Personally, I still wouldn't take a chance, for the sake of €20 to get a new charger online.
