what temp for just hot water

    I have an oil fired boiler and i've now turned all my rads of at all there individual valves. So i just want to use the oil to heat the water only what is the best temperature to to have the boiler at.

    Too low and you'll get condensation in the flue or heat exchanger, 65 is recommnded by Grant for summer hot water only, which is now the minimum setting on most boiler stats.

    Make sure that the water in the cylinder is heated to 65C especially if there is a shower fed of the cylinder.
