200 renault laguna wont start

    so my car 2002 renault laguna wont start at all. it drove perfectly 10 days ago and now it wont even put lights on.
    Ive tried to get it started with jump leads but nothing happened. the key card had a battery change just three months ago, and i had the battery changed in the car only around 9 months ago. does anyone know what this might be?or how much it will cost to get fixed? thanks

    Can you lock the car and unlock it? Do the lights in interior come on when you open the door? Do any of the lights come on the dashboard at all?

    hi,thanks for your reply,
    i cant even lock or unlock it,the lights on my key card flash but nothing from the car.i wonder is it a fuse or could the electrics be gone altogether?hoping to not have to spend much on it as was planning to get rid of it.im hoping to not have to get it towed.

    can you open the door manually? When the door is opened (as asked above) do the dome lights (interior light) illuminate?


    When the car is connected to an other car via jump leads what happens? Do you see the dome lights illuminate? Car radio? Any lights on the dash?

    How long do you own the car? Did you have to change the battery shortly after buying this car?

    BTW, the subject header to this post I thought was funny.. I read it as 200 Lagunas won't start, and thought to myself that's not real news... :) that's just normal..

    absolutely nothing happens with dome light or when jump leads are used.sorry bout post title

    Probably a blown fuse... or one of the battery cables has become disconnected from somewhere. The earth return to the battery probably. Can't remember where that is.

    It's rare and strange for a car to lose all power. It's got to be some single point of failure, and that's the only one I can think of.
