Yeah but picking an average RB from one of the strongest two or three teams in the league is retarded in that case.

It'd be one thing if he was a standout player like a Dani Alves or something, but Ivanovic is an unspectacular, decent right-back, of which there are plenty in the league.

Replace him with Bardsley or someone and you're not losing a whole lot while freeing yourself up to include Cole, Essien, Drogba etc.

I can't believe how many people inside and outside Sunderland's support have been fooled by Bardsley this season. He's very average, can't mark properly at set pieces or crosses, and has been at fault for about 10 goals in the last couple of months.

Because he throws in a few last ditch tackles (when he's usually at fault in the first place for them) and scores a few crackers, people think he's much better than he actually is.

He's had a good season by his own standards and fair play to him for that, he'll probably win SAFC's PoTY award (but it should go to Gyan IMO) but he's a weak link in our side.

Bardsley's not fit to tie Ivanovic's shoe laces IMO.
