Switch To Magnet?

    Hi,

    Im currently with utv but they use the eircom line and the max speed i can get is 4mb.
    Just wondering if i switch to magnet do they use the eircom line?
    Will i get any better speed with magnet?

    Magnet uses the same lines, but they sometimes use their own equipment at the exchange. If you're line is of low quality, or the distance from the exchange is far, then this will restrict the speed you can get with either eircom or Magnet. Magnet's own equipment is ADSL2+, which is better, but at distance or low quality, it may make no difference.

    If your ADSL line is restricted to 4Mbps, then an ADSL2+ line will have almost the same restriction. Switching is likely to bring no improvement at all.
