I'm currently 17 handicap. Main problems with my driver.

I'm looking to get a 18 degree hybrid as I have a big gap between clubs. I've nothing between 4 iron and driver.

Any suggestions on a hybrid that is easy enough to hit and what hybrids are ye using at the moment.

I was looking at something like this

I picked up the Titleist 909H a month or so ago, and its great. Its touted as a better players utility, but i've had no issues with it, being mid to high myself.

Thing is, it was going for €99 new on Halpenny but is since gone, with the 910 coming out. Check a few local stores, you might be able to pick it up for a song.

Adams Golf Hybrids i think are the best on the market. Bought one about 6 months ago and has changed my game i play off off 14. About 129euro is the only down fall.

I tried out the burner 2.0 rescue at a demo day and bought it that night....what a club serious distance and is so easy to hit

I have the TM REscue 09 - find them very easy to hit, cheaper now that there is anew model out, so can pick up bargains on the online shops etc.

Have Cobra Baffler 18 degree and really finding it a nice club to hit. I play off 18 myself. It definitely fills the gap in my clubs.

You might also think of a 7 wood. Have one myself and find it a great club if you're looking to hit long shots that come in fairly high and land softly. Distance wise its slightly longer than my rescue, but not much difference between the two.

+1 for the Titleist 909h - you can pick them up pretty cheap second hand - sets up to the ball beautifully:)

Hey bud - the 909h is a significantly inferior club to that of the 910h.
    Trust me on this one.

Not sure about that but the 910h is a crazy price at the moment - if you're looking for value for money the 909h is where it's at - probably a third of the price currently

The Ping G10 hybrid is a very nice club and easy to hit. You can get good deals on them as there is a new model out recently.

Have two Cleveland Hibore XLS Hybrids, but they are out of production now.
Got a 19deg last year, fantastic club, so bought a 22deg last month from e-bay.
I can hit them both well very easily, rarely hit a bad shot with them.

There are newer Cleveland models out there, but wanted to go with the same model to keep the loft gaps consistent.

If you have a shop nearby that allows you to test out the clubs, then try a few and see which suits you best.

I got a 2n hand one of these recently, but its a high loft one so prob not relevant. Its a stock Reg shaft, but feels stiff to me. Maybe I am getting old!

I'm on the lookout for a hybrid too, I have nothing between a 4 iron and a 3 wood.

Have a G10 Driver & 3 wood so was looking at the G10 hybrid but not sure what degree to get. I know it depends on player but what type of distance in general would a 23 degree hit compared to an 18 degree?

I am a 5hc and only getting back into things after a 7 yr break. I had no hybrid before, so put alot of research and effort into making the right choice.

The Cleveland Mashie is the best hybrid on the market. Followed by the Adams hybrid. Then there is little or no difference between any of the other top models.

Can I ask you to expand on that please? Are the Cleveland and Adams easier to hit? more forgiving? Or are they only suited to the lower handicaps? (And I presume you are talking about the Adams super hybrid???). What degree hybrid did you end up buying?

Only asking as I am not convinced that my 21 degree Callaway diablo edge is as easy to hit as a hybrid should be.

    Cheers for the recommendations guys.

I went for the Taylormade Superfast 18 degree in the end.

Arrived there last week. Haven't had much of a chance to play with the recent hurricane like conditions...... Took it to the range a few times. I'm liking it a lot so far.
