I plan on doing a porter shortly and 2-row pale malt is listed in the recipe. On another site it's also listed as brewers malt. Any body know what this is equivalent to or where i'd get it?

Two row pale malt is your base malt for most recipes, some different types here pale malt . Maris otter is a popular 2 row pale malt used by homebrewers here. I assume when they say brewers malt they mean 2 row pale malt.

yea there is 6 row favored for high enzymatic activity by bigger lager brewers, but we really only see 2 row over here and is supposed to have a better flavor profile
