MRI scan question

    Hey, im getting an MRI on my knee which I injured during pre season soccer training and Im just wondering will I have the results of the scan on the day or could I be made wait a few days?

    Im asking because a lad I know who also injured his knee got his scan at the galway clinic and said he was given the results on the day and a cd showing his knee so he could give to his physio which I thought was pretty impressive.

    They also want me to get an xray on the knee for some reason which I found a bit odd but anyways....

    Its being done at Euromedic Sligo.

    I had an MRI scan in Euromedic in Dublin and got a disc of images on the day, you don't get the actual films unless you request them and pay extra.

    Had the scan and they gave me a disc. They said results won't be at my gp until 10 days or so. Had a luck at the disc and compared a few side knee shots to my one and it's not looking good I can't see the thick black acl band so I'm absolutely gutted at the min. Hope I'm wrong so I'm bringing the disc to my physio tonight.

    The knee didn't even swell that much and isn't even that sore! :(
