    Hi

Hoping someone can help. I'm an ex DCU student having problems installing my mail account on the iphone4. The instructions online don't seem to be working as I'm getting an error saying my username and passwords are incorrect (they're not as I can access the mail via my PC).

    Any suggestions anyone?

    Cheers LP.

For the username you need to use your email address, eg. joe.bloggs16@mail.dcu.ie, instead of your novell username.

The password is your novell password.

I have my email working via a mail client and my nokia phone using the settings from here, I don't like their step by step instructions.

    Hey

Just log into your email account using safari on your iPhone. (like you would on a computer)

Once you are logged into your email, it will automatically detect that you are on a mobile and it will be formatted correctly to suit your screen.

The just go into the browser options and "add to homescreen"

Much easier and better than using the iPhones built-in mail system.

I do this for both my DCU email and personal Hotmail account.

That mobile formatting is not easier to read and navigate compared to a mail client and the advantage of using the phones in built mail system is it alerts you via a ringtone when a new email is recieved.

    Thanks for the replies.

Any ideas where to get a novell password? I left DCU in 2003 so only have my username, email address and current passwords.

    Cheers LP.

It is the password that is used to sign into your email via this link and should be the current password which you use to login via a pc. If that doesn't work than you should probably talk to ISS.

Download the Google app for iPhone and use your DCU email thru it.

That is what I do anyways.
