Hard to see Garda outbound on N7 with tripod

    just a heads up if you use the N7 near Dublin. After Newlands in the direction of Naas, as you round a left bend after citywest, at the garage, is the traditional spot where the garda camera van parks.

    But, they have moved to the walkway across the 6 lanes. It is the pedestrian walkway between Rathcoole village and the other side of the road. It is now a garda with a tripod on the walkway and i have seen them twice at this spot outbound. 3pm today and 11am last Wednesday.

    I figure I got points last week and I am awaiting them in the post. All lanes are 100kmph and I was doing 120.

    I assume you are talking about the spot where the traffic from the Esso garage goes out the exit and merges straight into traffic.

    In fairness it is a dangerous spot although I noticed they havve put in some bollards to stop people exiting into lane two as quick/slow as they could.

    Not a bad spot for a safety camera in fairness but I have to admit I've never passed one there
