    Howdy all,

    The Short Story:
I see Honda are releasing Mugen bodykit parts for the CRZ, does anyone know if these are/will be available in Ireland?

    The Long Story:
I've been looking at the Honda CRZ since I saw the concept pic. I thought the concept was class (as usual) but that the actual realisation of the car turned it into a pretty boring looking machine.

Anyway I like the car, I'm not looking for something that will split the moon with power but I am looking for something that'll look good, go well and stay reliable. I've seen the mugen bodykit pics on the car and I think they look closer to the concept than the standard offering.

Anyway assuming I can afford it (car, Mugen parts, Insurance) I'd like to get that car with that bodykit, does anyone know if this is available in Ireland yet?

Waste of time going directly to Honda for something like that. I'll make a few calls tomorrow in work

The honda factory got washed away by the tibal wave so they'l have to find that before they can get your body kit out of it and send it off to you, thats if they have any that the sharks havent eaten already.

mugen is a seperate company to Honda so that may not be the case...

There is no official mugen dealer in Ireland. There is only mugen europe based in the UK.

At this stage, the CR-Z MUGEN is being developed purely as a one-off prototype, with no plans for a production version.

unfortunatly that probley means you wont be able to get this kit for quite some time if ever...:(

Aw, that's a right shame now. The standard CRZ doesn't look all that good to my mind, but with the mugen touches it looks deadly.

What the hell is it with Irish car dealers where they seem to sell cars -20%? They sell certain models but not these extras: "No sorry, we don't stock that alloy wheel despite them being on the brochure. What? You want an offical pack of Audi Mints? That's €2,500 then. Without VAT."

Time to look at other options...

Thanks for the replies lads, @Midnight_EG: Thanks for asking for me!

importing from the UK might be an option, they might have the extras your after (not the mugen kit) but you'd have the calculate the cost of exchange rates and VRT to see if its worth doing.

or you could try a different Honda dealer. sometimes they can be just plain awkward. for example my mates mam has the only (or one of the few) Suzuki Grand Vitara 3.0 Petrols. she had to go to six different dealers to get it though....

I've been reading about the Mugen CR-Z over the last few days, it's a great idea, though I'm not a fan of the body kit at all. Underneath, it's the car Honda should have provided from the start. I wonder if there's any point looking at the JDM aftermarket shops like HKS or Fortune to see what they offer? Not cheap, but they actually have products for sale right now, unlike the vapourware from Mugen.
