A&K Minimi M249 and AGM M4 GBBR

I'm skipping the country in a few months so am clearing out some of the stuff that doesn't get used as much as it deserves.

I'm not interested in trades; I need dinero, so unless I'm bored I'm not going to respond to trade offers, and if I do it'll quote this bit and say "Thanks, but no." I'll only sell to under-18s if they have a parent or guardian present, or look like they're over 18, or have a homeless guy they paid a fiver to pretend to be their parent or guardian. I can meet in Dublin city centre or anywhere along the DART line, or if you want to check the wares and have a test-fire you're welcome to pop to my place in Artane. Posting would be a pain in the nads, but if you're willing to pay for it and accept that I might have to build a box from scratch, I'm willing to trolley it to the post office.

This is the A&K FN Minimi, M249 variant (the style the Yanks use). It's a beast of an airsoft gun, and has to be used to be believed - the urge to fire streams of BBs while yelling like an action hero is as strong whether it's at your shoulder, from the hip, or prone using the bipod. Everything that's metal on the real one is metal here. The bipod stows quickly into the handguard, and the carry handle rotates out of the way.

I bought it from Chuck the Buck to experiment with the support gunner role, but it transpires my play style is more sighing heavily and going to do the thing that that guy was supposed to be doing before he got all excited and vanished. Out of the box, the A&K Minimis have a few niggles, but between Chuck's work and my own it's now a smooth operator. The hop-up unit feeds unproblematically, and the hop-up rubber has been replaced with a Guarder clear one. The few times I've used it people have come up to me after the game and talked in shock about how good its range is when it's coming at them - you can deny a lot of territory with this baby.

It's got 3 magazines, so you can kit out like a full support gunner. These are pretty hard to get hold of. All the magazines have been tweaked to feed smoothly (they can jam a bit out of the box), greased up nicely to quieten them down, and snipped to allow you to attach the mag before plugging in the feed tube, and remove the feed tube before detaching the magazine - as stock, it's a right pain because you have to do the fiddly bits with the magazine hanging separate. All the magazines have a set of fake bullets to make you look like a bad-ass. Yes, one magazine has stickers of those claw-machine aliens from Toy Story; they can be removed if you lack an appreciation of the juxtaposition of imagery.

It comes with a real-steel (so I'm told) sling, and two whatever-you-call-the-top-bits - one with an accessory rail and one original-style without. It does not come with a battery, and the fuse broke (the stock popped off in a fall, but the only damage was the glass fuse smashed, and it's all back together and solid again) so the connectors just connect to each other - you can cheaply and easily insert a fuse of your choice, if you like to use a fuse. There's a little wear to the paint from usage, mostly in points where the sling attachments or equipment rub against it, but it's purely cosmetic and actually provides a nice lived-in look.

For this package I'm asking 300 quid. I'm not interested in splitting it, but if there's bits you don't want and you can find somebody to take them instead, I can work with you.

Next up is an AGM M4 gas blow-back rifle. This is based on the WA design, but is full metal. That said, these suckers are known to be a bit temperamental, and while this is one of the better ones, it'd be a bit of a project to make it skirmishable - a project I haven't ever got around to, so I'm offering it here in case somebody else might be able to give it some love.

The feel of this gun is great - the recoil when you fire, pulling back the cocking lever to cock it, and the "thunk" when you press the bolt release. It's got a nice weight and very solid feel. There's an NPAS installed so you can regulate the output to keep it all nice and legal on hot days (NPAS key included too).

This is the RIS variant, which comes with 3 rail covers and lots of space for adding silly bits. It also comes with the gangster grip and 2-point sling that it was originally packed with. I've installed a clone of the Magpul ASAP sling swivel on the rear (for easy transitioning from one hand to the other) and the original one will come with it too.

Magazines for these have never been easy to come by, but there are 5 here - the original AGM one and 4 Jing Gong ones, which are more powerful and lighter.

Its former owner was Gerrowadat, who didn't use it much, and I haven't used it much either. It's in great condition, a little scratching on the ring that tightens the stock tube caused by a pliers when I was installing the ASAP is the main thing.

This is one package, as above I'm not interested in splitting unless you want to find somebody to share it out with yourself.

    Asking price is 150 yoyos.

Oh yeah, it's working a treat. Fuses are optional, they're just an extra layer of safety.

It's not a para, but I figure you know that from the photos. If you're down with that, offer accepted!

It's not for sale in US dollars, but if you wanted to get 300 euros it'd run you about 425 dollars at the moment's exchange rates. I expect there'd also be shipping to consider. :)

It's provisionally sold at the moment (awaiting collection and payment), but I'll let you know if that doesn't pan out.

Provisionally, it's awaiting collection and payment. There's another interested party on the list if that doesn't work out, but if that doesn't either, I'll let you know - although, to be adhering strictly to the rules, you'd probably want to make an offer to secure a place in the queue.

    Thanks for the interest!

Although I'm tempted by an AK, I need the money, so will have to decline. Thanks for the interest though.

Thank you very much, but the Minimi was picked up today. Reckon we can close this thread now.
