Used PS3 Do I have a case??

    I bought a used PS3 (Play Station 3) back in September (80gb bought in Gamestop) and it yellow lighted a few weeks ago. I returned it for another ps3 under warranty, another used 80gb PS3. This one had a hard drive problem and was returned the next day. They didn't have any used 80gb PS3's left so they said they can give me a used 120gb PS3 slim for €10 on top of what I already paid for my console so I did (stupid me) and now this one has a malfunction in the Blu Ray player.

    This is my 3rd used console. I demanded a new console and they said that all they can do is keep on giving me used consoles unless I pay for a new one. Everytime I get another console I lose EVERYTHING. My game saves, donwloaded content (which has a maximum download limit of 5). music, pictures and movies. To me this is more of a hassle and I would return it for my money back but I will be loosing money because of all the games bought.

    Do I have any leg to stand on to fight for a new console or a full refund for what I paid on everything bought for the console??

    You have no claim to a new console, or anything back for what you bought, they're unfortunately within their rights to just keep replacing the broken used consoles with more used consoles.

    If you bought all the additional games in the same shop, they might just offer a refund, but it's at their discretion so you'd have to be nice to the store manager and beg.

    AFAIK, Under the Sales of Goods Act of 1980, second hand goods sold by a shop are treated the same as those bought new, i.e. faults are either repaired, goods replaced, or a refund is given. You are not entitled to a brand new but you should now get either a repair done or refund of what you paid. Seeing as you have taken 3 replacements, I would now be looking for my money back.

    Sorry, to clarify, I meant you're not entitled to anything back for the stuff other than the console, poorly worded post from me. Whiterebel is right anyways
