I'm looking to purchase Front lights for mainly off-road use & was wondering if anyone had any first hand experince of the Terra 2 lights?

I have a budget of €150 and would welcome any other suggestions also.

    Thanks

Cant recomend a name but best tip i can give you is to look at the Lumens of the lamps you looking at, Id say min 200 and id say something like around 500 would have to set up for just about anything!

the one you talking about has 240they say but its 120 per unit so im guessing you get 2 head units for that price! Then there is the Hope Vision 2 LED Li-Ion From €180 that gives out 480 Lumens! so its really just depends how much light you going to want/need!

Also check out the Battery Run Time on each head unit!
    hope that helps

I've used some Fenix lights quite happily for night-time rides.. one TK-11 on the bars (using a TwoFish Lockblock) and one on my helmet, mounted with a TwoFish Bikeblock. The lights were purchased at the Photon Shop, with the batteries and charger from Deal Extreme.

Deal Extreme also fo cheaper clones of the Fenix lights that some say have questionable quality, but I've used a few without any problems -similar to this one.

The suggestion above all use 18650 batteries, which I like for run time and power, though not as easy to find as AA's if you're out and about and run out of juice (though there are torches available from both Fenix and Deal Extreme that run on AA's).

I like the ones running Cree LEDs, so that's something to search for on Deal Extreme.
